The Yellow Girl

The Yellow Girl paints into a tiny book
Worlds bigger than the sky outside.
Her pen leaves gashes on her forehead
For everything to pour from her mind.
For all she loves art,
she maybe doesn't know
that she's art herself, spun out of music and doodles and bestfriendness.

And the way this yellow girl loves,
oh my.
It scares us.
She doesn't hold back
And each one becomes a fairy tale
till it lasts.

Careful, Yellow girl,
We need you whole,
Because, yellow girl
You're good for our soul.
